About The Barney Center
In 2014, James Barney, a lawyer, former-federal law clerk, Associate Professor of Legal Studies, and a Ph.D. student of History, founded The Barney Center as a venue to express his views on politics, law, history, and business. In addition to blogging on various topics, The Barney Center seeks to address perceived deficiencies in the existing continuing legal education (“CLE”) and legal education marketplace.
The Barney Center aims to provide newly-admitted and experienced attorneys with an opportunity to earn their required CLE hours via live seminars, telephonic conferences, and webinars. In do so, The Barney Center aims to provide attorneys with an entertaining, informative, and inexpensive CLE alternative. Read more
